Este vídeo do projeto Flyin’ Miata mostra os preparativos para o Targa Newfoundland com algo um pouco mais potente que o quatro cilindros tradicional: um V8 L33 5.3 da Chevrolet que entrega 400 cavalos nas rodas (e tem as cores da Martini!). Sabe o que é melhor? Fizeram tudo isso com o apoio da comunidade de fãs do Miata.
O evento é um rali que atravessa a ilha canadense de Terra Nova, seguindo a tradição de provas como o Targa Florio e o Targa Tasmania. E o casal Janel e Keith Tanner procurou os fãs do modelo para tocar o projeto, junto com o dono da Flyin’ Miata, Bill Cardell. Eles conseguiram mais de US$ 15.000 para realizar o sonho e agora precisam de ajuda para registrar a prova.
Aproveitando o site Kickstarter – que serve como uma vitrine para projetos que precisam de patrocínios, por menores que sejam – eles abriram uma vaquinha para levar um time e seus equipamentos de filmagem por 10 dias ao local do evento.
