A piloto Maria de Villota, que alguns esperam ser a primeira piloto mulher da Fórmula 1 moderna, sofreu graves ferimentos com “risco de morte” em seu primeiro teste no carro da Marussia hoje cedo na Inglaterra.
Informes dão conta de que De Villota havia acabado de terminar uma volta na pista do aeroporto de Duxford quando o carro subitamente acelerou em direção à traseira de um dos caminhões de apoio da equipe. Os ferimentos teriam ocorrido na cabeça. O teste era o primeiro dela no MR-01.
Aos 32 anos, a filha do ex-piloto de F1 Emilio de Villota tem passagens pelo WTCC e pela Superleague, e fez um teste pela Renault em Paul Ricard no ano passado. As atividades da Marussia que teriam início hoje seriam focadas na aerodinâmica do carro que é o penúltimo colocado no Mundial de Construtores, sem nenhum ponto conquistado até agora.
A equipe divulgou uma nota relatando o ocorrido sem maiores detalhes, e afirmando que quando o estado de saúde dela estiver avaliado, outra nota será publicada. Segundo o Tazio, que deve cobrir em tempo real as notícias a respeito do acidente, a condição da espanhola é estável.
Qualquer que seja a causa do acidente, a frente do MR-01 ficou destruída. Há relatos conflitantes a respeito dela estar consciente ou não depois do acidente (cujo áudio você pode ouvir no final dessa entrevista).

Eu francamente espero ansioso para que haja uma mulher na F1. De longe não sou "pró-feminista", mas seria interessante colocar uma moça em meio à marmanjada só para ver a quantas sai as disputas (sou capaz de apostar uns trocados que muito rapaz ali dentro relutaria em aceitar ser ultrapassado por uma mulher).
Uma pena que o universo pareça conspirar contra certos acontecimentos (ou, ao menos, contribuir para postergar).
Aliás, parece ser charmosa, pelo semblante, a tal da de Villota.
Acho que isso iria ficar competitivo, mesmo porque os pilotos homens náo iriam querer ser ultrapaçados por uma mulher, imagina a zoaçao depois, acho que iria dar uma batida atraz da outra.
No automobilismo de ponta não existem essas coisas…

Eu adoraria ver uma mulher pilotando na Formula 1, mas prefiro a Susie Wolff, da Williams, do que a Maria de Villota. A Maria na época da Formula Superliga não era nem de longe uma boa piloto, e acho que não tenha mudado muito.

Não foi tão grave assim. Não vi muitos detalhes, mas pelo que vi ela estava andando em baixa velocidade após o teste e o carro acelerou. Talvez tenha sido algum problema mecânico, mas acho possível que tenha sido erro. Ela pode ter se desentendido com os giros, o sistema anti-stall e a embreagem.
