A cunha de Michelotti marcou o fim dos supercarros sedutores e curvilíneos da década de 60. Ele abriu espaço para o Lamborghini Countach, o Lancia Stratos e a Ferrari Berlinetta Boxer, formas que romperam radicalmente com o passado e que passaram a dominar o design dos supercarros até hoje. Após a estreia do carro em Genebra, Michelotti ficou com ele até morrer, em 1980. Seu filho o herdou e usou como enfeite de jardim, de acordo com Anthony Hazelaar, da AutoRAI. Este carro foi restaurado pela DAF e está exposto em seu museu em Eindhoven, na Holanda. Recentemente ele foi ao Concorso d’Eleganza de Villa d’Este, onde foram feitos a foto e o vídeo.
