Outro colaborador caçado em nossa última peneira, o Rafa ‘Run4fun’ Souza mantêm há tempos um ótimo blog sobre carros modificados e cultura automotiva. Já conhecíamos o seu trabalho ali, e estava claro que tinha muito a ver com o que a gente procurava. Por coincidência, ele acabou respondendo à convocação por novos redatores ao mesmo tempo em que tentávamos entrar em contato. O resultado está sendo publicado aqui no Jalopnik há pouco mais de um mês. Vejamos o que ele tem para falar a respeito de si:

Atualmente estou (humanos, eternamente mutáveis…) assim: 27 anos, casado, pai de duas filhas, uma enteada (só para deixar explicado, mas considero como filha sem qualquer distinção), contador por profissão, motorista de um Fiat Siena Fire Flex 1.0 8v rebaixado e com rodas do Stilo 16”, mantenedor de um VW Fusca’76 (Gorete) que meu pai um dia pretende usar, nascido, criado e morador de Brasília/DF e suando para construir uma casa.
Já escrevi demais da minha vida pessoal no blog que mantenho há mais de oito anos, sempre voltado basicamente para automóveis e todo o mundo que o cerca. Vez ou outra alguma coisa desengrena e alguns devaneios vão ao ar, mas não é por isso que estou redigindo isto aqui. Jalopnik não é o muro das lamentações.
Venho de uma família comum, sem nenhum auto-insano-entusiasta. Meu pai, meus tios, meu avô… todos gostam de carros, mas nada além daquela lavagem no final de semana e evitar que crianças comam dentro de seus carros. O único desvirtuado fui eu. Dizer onde começou não sei ao certo.
Sempre desenhei carros e meu sonho de carreira era ser desenhista industrial para poder trabalhar com automóveis. Como em Brasília a única faculdade que temos com este curso é a UNB – Universidade de Brasília – e eu precisava passar na prova específica para poder fazer a do vestibular voltada para este curso, não ficou difícil deduzir o que aconteceu, não é?! Pois bem, não passei na prova específica e como segunda opção precisava escolher outro curso. Sobrou Ciências Contábeis, afinal, desde meus 11 anos já freqüentava diariamente o escritório do meu pai para perturbá-lo e ajudá-lo em uma entrega ou outra de documentos. Com isso, a coisa foi ficando séria e meu passa-tempo das tardes virou profissão. Cursei Contabilidade na UCB – Universidade Católica de Brasília e ao me formar, tornei-me sócio do meu pai no escritório da família.
Neste ínterim, carros sempre me acompanhavam. Meus amigos, desde a infância (trago-os comigo até hoje) sempre diziam que meu destino era trabalhar com automóveis e isso ficava mais claro nos trabalhos de escola, desenhos nas aulas de artes, feiras e exposições interescolares… tudo que meu grupo fazia normalmente envolvia carros, pois eu geralmente incitava o assunto e assumia boa parte da carga de trabalho. Não achava ruim, sempre curti, mas em trabalhos específicos eu sempre tirava o corpo fora e deixava que o restante do grupo se virasse. Esse era o trato. Assim, nunca reprovei em matéria alguma.
Sempre fui calmo, tranqüilo, brincalhão, extrovertido… heranças maternas, mas ao mesmo tempo impaciente, ignorante, introspectivo… heranças paternas. Quando criança, achei em um baú velho alguns livros de poesia que meu pai escrevia. Sempre que possível lia algumas, e aquilo sempre me despertou uma imensa vontade de ser como ele. Tentava fazer boas redações, bons textos, boas apresentações… sempre tentando honrar o legado. Certa vez me viu lendo seus livretos e sequer perguntou nada. Catou todos e nunca mais os vi. Mas ainda lembro de alguns e nunca falamos a respeito.
A idéia de começar a escrever coisas para todos lerem veio de uma grande amiga que, ao ver um de meus cadernos de desenhos em uma época conturbada, deu-me a idéia de criar um blog para falar daquilo que eu mais gostava. Havia terminado com minha primeira namorada séria, distanciado dos amigos, longe da família… completamente sem chão. Ela me mostrou o “caminho das pedras” e comecei a falar de carros.
Lá misturei carros, poesias, vida pessoal… virou uma sopa louca que começou a me manter mais perto das máquinas, caçar novidades, ver inúmeras fotos… perdia finais de semana lavando, encerando, polindo os carros dos meus pais para poder dar uma voltinha no final da noite e ir a uma festinha ou outra.
Comprei meu primeiro carro em 2003, já com 21 anos, após muito trabalho. Nunca fomos ricos e, apesar de poder, meus pais sempre concordaram que “só se dá valor àquilo que se conquista”. Era um Ford Escort XR3 2.0i prata-azulado. Sonhava com este carro (também servia um Kadett GSI, Tipo Sedicivalvole ou um Tempra Stile, sempre gostei dessas “drogas”) desde meus 14~15 anos. Coloquei pneus novos, comprei peças de acabamento sobressalentes, mas com três meses de uso o desgraçado resolve romper a mangueira de combustível sobre o motor quente, lambendo completamente o carro em fogo. Bye-bye Escort.
Precisando de um carro, comprei um Fiat Uno 2004 Mk3 zero km. Nunca foi o carro dos meus sonhos, nunca pensei em ter um e sequer gostava de Uno, mas estava morando longe, sem grana e precisava de um carro econômico. Não vi outra opção. Coloquei rodas da Palio Weekend Stile 15”, rebaixei, filtro, escape e chip… ótimo para uso diário e assim ficou durante 3 anos. Vendi para começar uma nova fase, uma nova vida, um novo projeto de vida chamado família, com um incitador chamado Julia.
Quando da aquisição do Uno, a frequência em encontros e eventos aumentou bastante. Um amigo disse que um conhecido seu estava precisando de alguém para redigir os textos dos carros de destaque em um site aqui de Brasília que ele acabara de montar. Topei na hora e daí comecei a redigir melhor meus textos, conhecer proprietários e grupos específicicos, participar de track days e cobrir alguns eventos.
Após a venda do Uno, ficamos apenas com o Ford Fiesta 1.0 GL que era da patroa. Logo dei um jeito de vender o carro após “afogá-lo” (meados de 2007) debaixo de um viaduto em um dia de chuva torrencial. Arrumei-o por inteiro, mas após uma quebra de câmbio, desanimei do carro e vendi. Como viram, Fords não são pra mim.

Compramos o Siena em 2008 pois a família precisava de duas portas a mais e mais espaço para as malas, carrinhos, berços… sim, no plural. Em fevereiro de 2009 nasceria a Manuela e no final daquele ano vendemos nosso apartamento e mudaríamos para uma casa. Graças a Deus nunca tive medo de trabalho, então pedi que a patroa largasse o emprego após o nascimento da Manu enquanto eu segurasse as pontas. Assim estamos há dois anos e vamos tocando nossa vida.
No início do ano estava de bobeira em casa e vi o anúncio de convocação do Jalopnik para novos redatores. Sempre fiz e cuidei do blog por puro prazer. Nunca coloquei anúncios e nem AdSense para não poluir o visual. Nunca vendi R$ 1,00 e nunca pedi dinheiro emprestado para manter aquilo lá. Até pensei em oferecer favores sexuais, mas não adiantaria muito… Ví na chamada do Jalop uma oportunidade bacana de aprender um pouco mais sobre esse lance de jornalismo, trocar idéias com quem realmente trabalha com carros e faz isso por gosto. Leio revistas automotivas constantemente (umas 3~4/mês) e sempre imaginava como seria bacana trabalhar num ambiente deste.
Mandei uma mensagem no twitter e algum tempo depois recebi comentários dizendo que seria bacana, que estavam torcendo por mim… a patroa deu muita força, amigos com quem comentei me ligaram incentivando a participar e posteriormente cobrando para saber como foi, minha irmã ficou animada com a possibilidade de me ver trabalhando com algo que ela sabia que era minha paixão desde criança… e deu certo.
Sinceramente não curto muito carros caros, superesportivos caros ou versões especiais banhadas a ouro. Gosto de carros mexidos, ponto! Longe de mim aquela personalização extrema, com luzes e sistemas sonoros cheios de watts. “A diferença entre o veneno e o remédio é a dose”, então acredito que temos que saber dosar.
Curto muito carros rebaixados e preparados. Como a “lombriga” não fica quieta enquanto não mudo meus carros, o único que passou ileso foi o Fiesta da patroa. Após receber meu primeiro “salário” do Jalopnik comprei pneus para o conjunto de rodas do Stilo 16” que tinha em casa e rebaixei o Siena. Sim, eu e a patroa usamos o carro regularmente e acabamos de voltar de uma viagem com ele carregado de mala e criança. Quem disse que carro, família e mala não combinam?
Em uma das últimas matérias que redigi exclusivamente para o meu blog antes de ingressar no Jalopnik, li uma frase que me fez pensar bastante qual seria minha linha de postagem por aqui: “Lembra-te de quem és, não daquilo que possui, pois teu caráter e dignidade são moldáveis. Tua alma, não” mas isso é assunto para outra postagem.

Como foi dito por alguém aqui: "Deixar o carro com a cara do dono". Essa, a meu ver, é melhor frase que pode definir o que é o tuning. Tenho um Siena igual ao seu (ano / modelo), cor prata, que vou colocar as rodas do Stilo Schumacher (aro 17)… E que terminaremos de pagar agora em Julho!! Finalmente!!
E vou atrás de um carro que sempre gostei, e que no seu caso, o fogo resolveu lamber: Escort XR3, só que o branco pérola conversível.

Those concerned with privacy will be relieved to know you can prevent the public from seeing your personal listening habits if you so choose.

the latest Android OS is simply a great move up but it looks like it’s useful to just a few smartphones with Google Nexus being all of the beneficiary. I geeting a lot of problems to update my Samsung and many applications are not workin well, i switched back in addition to works fine. Not sure whether many of the manufactores will pleased this join approximately Google and Motorola.
