Subir por uma estrada estreita, a velocidades que ultrapassam os 160 km/h na beira de uma montanha testa os limites do carro e do piloto. Regester, apesar de ter bastante experiência na montanha, atingiu o limite de um ou ambos e se acidentou em Pikes Peak.
Em um exemplo do quão perigoso isso pode ser, ele teve a sorte de atingir uma pedra, que o impediu de voar por outra queda. Acredite ou não, ele saiu andando do acidente.

Apesar do risco, Pikes Peak é uma das competições mais divertidas do mundo.
Por aqui temos a subida do Pico do Jaraguá em São Paulo, que acontece todos os anos no mês de Junho. Mas com um percurso de cerca de 4 quilômetros não chega a empolgar tanto.
Alguém aí se habilita a patrocinar um carro para uma dessas provas? Posso ser o piloto!
